reading, soccer with our sons, history,
I enjoy teaching and learning activities at Oklahoma Christian University, where I am a professor of English and where our students make my life really interesting and rich. The McBride Center for Faith & Literature is another favorite project: http://www.oc.edu/mcbridecenter.
What is my favorite Bible verse? That's a little like asking me to name a favorite child or a favorite type of chocolate! It's impossible to choose from such riches! But today, picking rapidly based on what I'm thinking about now, one of the verses I especially like is James 1:17 about how God has showered good things on creation and on humanity as part of a greater plan. I particularly like these phrases: "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights...." I like thinking about God's goodness, about a broad and general grace he has showered on the earth, and about how tenacious God's love really is and always has been.
Thanks for reading, Scott. I appreciate you and your entire family participating in this project!

It’s interesting to me how deep deception runs in this family and yet God used them in an amazing way to create a nation for Him. I think it gives us hope for anyone and everyone to be used by God. Thank you for sharing this with me today Scott.

Thanks, Scott. Really, that “stick” thing has always intrigued me!!! It’s yet another one of those questions I have on my “what-I’m-going-to-ask-about-when-I-get-to-heaven” list!

Thanks, Scott! I enjoyed reading about your favorite verse, too! Do you prefer milk, semisweet, dark, 90%........?
